The «Greek – European Student Conferences», ELEMASYN, announces the student project: “Student Cultural Creations in the cradle of Civilization” (SCC), which will take place in Athens in the spring of 2021.

1st Student Conference 2020: The Institution of the European Capital of Culture

History, Culture, Hellenism and the Multiculturalism of Constantinople

The city that will host the 1st Greek – European Student Conference 2020, “The Institution of the European Capital of Culture” is Constantinople (Istanbul).

The purpose of the 1st Greek – European Student Conference is to introduce Greek and European students to the institution of the European Capital of Culture. Students will become acquainted with the Historical and Cultural Identity of European States from the perspective of coexistence and research.

The Purpose of the Conference

The 1st Greek – European Student Conference, “The institution of the European Capital of Culture as a lever for its People’s Approach”, aims for the students to:

Get to know the cultural characteristics of the countries of the European Union.
Realize the value of the European People’s Cultural Tradition.
Meet and interact with European students to cultivate the culture of a European Citizen.
Appreciate teamwork and effort.
Familiarize themselves with the difficult process of presenting, alleviating the fear of ‘exposure’ to an audience.

The topics of the Conference

Each Student Group that participates in the 1st Greek - European Student Conference can choose one of the following topics:

The European Capital of Culture,

Historical route of the Capitals of Culture,

Culture and Art in the Capitals of Culture,

History of Constantinople,

Monuments of Culture and Museums of Istanbul,

Education in Constantinople and Turkey,

The Urban Landscape of Constantinople,

The Administrative Division of Constantinople, the city of 20 million people.
