Student Cultural Creations in the cradle of Civilization

The «Greek – European Student Conferences», ELEMASYN, announces the student project: “Student Cultural Creations in the cradle of Civilization” (SCC), which will take place in Athens in the spring of 2021.

Painting & Drawing

Each student can submit only one (1) project.

There is no limit to the number of students who will participate per school.

The students’ projects will be submitted  to ELEMASYN’s Organizing Committee in digital format, preferably in high resolution. The original projects will remain in the possession of their creators.

Students can choose to draw or paint their works on any surface and of any size. They are free to choose the materials, the color or black and white imprint, implement a collage, even a 3D printed creation.

Every project must include: a title, the author’s name, the school’s name and the class.

Topics examples: depiction of a cultural heritage monument in the past, a collage of cultural heritage monuments, depiction of an intangible cultural heritage element, etc.

Literature and Poetry

Each student may choose either Literature or Poetry.

There is no limit to the number of words or pages a project should include.

There is no limit to the number of students per school.

The students’ works will be sent to ELEMASYN’s Organizing Committee in digital format, preferably in high resolution.

Every project must include: a title, the author’s name, the school’s name and the class.

Topics Example: Life in a Cultural Heritage monument in its heyday, The “conversation” of a monument with the young people of today, etc.

Photography

Each student may submit up to three (3) photos.

There is no limit to the number of students per school.

The students’ projects will be submitted to ELEMASYN’s Organizing Committee in digital format, preferably in high resolution. The original projects will remain in the possession of their creators.

Every project must include: a title, the author’s name, the school’s name and the class.

Topics Example: a photograph of a cultural heritage monument with the presence of people of “then”, a photograph of a characteristic element(s) of intangible cultural heritage, etc.

Video

Video Creation is a team project.

Every school may submit up to 2 videos, the maximum duration of each should not be more than 10 minutes.

The video must follow the script written by the student team.

Each video will be sent in avi or mp4 file format. The film title, the actors’ names, the school and the students’ class should be at the beginning of every video.

Topics Example: detailed recording of an intangible cultural heritage item, a tour of a cultural heritage site, etc.

Comic Drawing

Comics drawing my be created either as individual or group projects. There are no limitations on the number of submissions per school.

Each comic must depict a complete script, which will be a written by the students. Comic stories must not exceed 20 pages.

The Comics may be either hand-drawn or computer illustrated.

Kindly note that Comic strips should be submitted in A4 size, pdf format. The introduction must indicate: the title and name of the creators, the school and the students’ class.

Topics Example: how do students imagine the creation of a cultural heritage monument, a fiction creating an element of intangible cultural heritage, etc.
